Several remarkable villages are nearby, including Chauvigny, Le Blanc, Montmorillon and Angles-sur-l’Anglin, which is ranked among the most beautiful villages in France.

What is the largest city closest to the Moulin de la Gassotte ?

The nearest big city is Poitiers, located about 45 minutes by car. Poitiers is also home to the Futuroscope amusement park.

Should reservations be made in advance?

Yes, booking is highly recommended, especially in high season. This ensures the availability of your location or accommodation upon arrival.

Is there a minimum length of stay?

In low season, there is usually no minimum duration. In high season, a minimum stay may apply for gîtes.

Arrival and departure
What time can I arrive?

Arrivals for gites and lodges are possible between 16:00 and 19:00.
In case of late arrival, please let us know in advance.

At what time do I have to vacate the place or lodging?

Departures are before 12:00 for pitches and before 10:00 for gites, lodges and mobile tents.

Can I arrive outside the scheduled hours?

Yes, it is possible upon prior request, depending on our availability.

What happens in case of late arrival for campers?

Campers arriving outside reception hours may choose a free location upon their arrival. They are then invited to show up at reception as soon as it opens in order to finalise the registration

Is traffic allowed at night on the campsite?

No, no. The campsite door is closed between 22:00 and 07:00 in order to guarantee calm and rest for all. During this period, it is not possible to arrive or leave the campsite, and silence is requested on the site.

Accommodation and pitches
What types of accommodation do you offer?

We offer camping pitches, gîtes and a stage gîte suitable for hikers and cyclists.

Are the pitches shaded?

Yes, the majority of pitches benefit from natural shade thanks to the site’s wooded environment.

Are the gîtes equipped?

Yes, the gîtes have the essential equipment for a comfortable stay, including kitchen and sanitary facilities.

Animals
Are animals accepted?

Yes, animals are accepted, provided they are kept on a leash and respect the tranquility of the site.

Is there a supplement for animals?

A small surcharge may be applied depending on the type of accommodation.

Facilities and services
Is there electricity on the pitches?

Yes, electrical connections are available at certain locations.

Do you have sanitary facilities?

Yes, toilets with showers and toilets are accessible to campers.

Is there an internet connection?

Wi-Fi is available in some areas of the site.

Do you have a service area for motorhomes?

Yes, on Moulin de la Gassotte has a service area for motorhomes that allows waste water to be drained, drinking water to be filled and chemical toilets to be drained.

Do you have a room for classes, meetings or events?

Yes, on Moulin de la Gassotte has a room for courses, meetings, traineeships, seminars or private events.

Yes, the room is also suitable for parties, birthdays or private events, while respecting the calm of the site.

Is it possible to combine the room with accommodation on site?
